Like most young men that hang around Boxer’s, he eventually became a contender on the streets of Nassau.
In 1972 he met Master Kenneth P. Lewis (founder of Bai Sung Institute.) Shortly after he joined the classes held at the Old YMCA in Freeport. Determined to learn the art of Kung Fu, Cedric Miller took additional classes before his regular class and days others would take off. His roommate, whom happened to be Master Lewis, was glad to teach him. Many times the young Kung Fu Lo was mystified by Mater Lewis methods of teaching. He often wondered if he was a twin, because it seemed impossible that his instructor was inside the living room stretched out on a couch facing the opposite direction. Yet he would say, “Wrong leg!” or “not that punch!” It was as if he had someone spying on them. This made him even more impressed with his instructor and determined to learn.
Later our class was moved to Lucaya Bay and Marina. During this time Master Lewis was back and fort from college. Leaving the highest ranked, Cedric Miller in charge. Special guest was invited to look in on them, courtesy of their instructor. Frankie Adderley now (Grandmaster) and Brother Will looked in from time-to-time.

He became an expert at self made weapons he used in some of these competitions, such as cutlass with pine stock, garden rake with twine and others made from household and garden stores.
In the mid 1970’s he himself begin teaching. His first student was Leonard Major later followed by Chris Plakaris and others. He also assisted with Raynard Woods and Sarone Kennedy. As for Leonard Major, he proved to be an extremely determined young man; much like his instructor was when he started. Sifu Miller would return home from work and meet his eager student working Kata’s, moves and techniques he was taught, while awaiting for more knowledge. Major was anxious to get started when his instructor arrived. He worked hard, and with time and devotion, he made Sifu proud by dominating competitions. He was truly a Class-Act. In May 2004 (4th Degree Black Sash) ‘O Gao Tao’ Leonard Major was awarded Teacher of the Year by the World Independent Chinese Martial Arts Federation.
